Fully equipped: Sharp’s AQUOS LE630/LE632 series combines wide-ranging features and sleek design

Europe, 12.07.2011

The new Sharp LE630/632 series is generously equipped with numerous features that give users a positive multimedia experience and excellent picture quality. Thanks to their extremely low power consumption, the devices meet the strict requirements for inclusion in the A+ energy efficiency class. Additionally, LE632E series models are equipped with a triple HD tuner.

Appealing design and a wide range of features characterise the new Sharp appliances, making them true multimedia all-rounders. The integrated media player allows users to comfortably enjoy photos, videos and music on their television via USB or DLNA (1). Internet access is also only a click away. Viewers with AQOUS NET+ receive free access to the internet and about 70 different widgets, for instance the Viewster video on demand platform. This capability allows users to check their e-mail or surf their favourite websites during advertising breaks whenever they want even if their laptop or PC is not nearby. Users receive current television listings through the electronic program guide (EPG(2)) and can always call up a seven-day television schedule at the press of a button.

“The devices in our LE630/632 series are perfect for users who want to use digital content on their televisions in a quick and uncomplicated manner, without skimping on a sleek design. Thanks to our integrated media player, users no longer have to rule out watching television series via USB cables connected to an external hard drive, clicking through a photo album from their last summer holidays or listening to their current favourite music,” explained Thies Radeloff, Product Manager for Consumer Electronics at Sharp Electronics Germany/Austria.

Excellent image quality – low energy consumption

The new AQUOS televisions in the 630/632 series are equipped with a Full HD X-Gen LCD panel. They deliver outstanding picture quality and a one-of-a-kind television experience thanks to their 100 Hz technology and LED background illumination. With an extremely low rate of energy consumption, the models in the 630/632 series fulfil the stringent requirements for the A+ energy efficiency class. The LCD televisions in the LE630/LE632 series also earn high marks with their numerous connection possibilities including SCART, HDMI, a CI+ card slot and USB slot. The LE630 series contains two integrated HD tuners (DVB-T, DVB-C), and the LE632 series is also equipped with a DVB-S2 tuner which enables it to receive satellite, cable and antenna signals. Due to this technology, it is no longer necessary to have a separate set-top box for each individual signal.

AQUOS televisions in the LC-LE630E and LC-LE632E series are available with 32- and 40-inch (80- and 102-centimetre) screens and are in stores now.
