Returns & Refurbishment - Partner Service

Returns are unavoidable whether you are a manufacturer or a distributor, however, your returns can be converted from unwanted issues into valuable revenue streams. Sharp has gone into partnership with other brands to help them handle their returns issues.

We can help you solve any part of the returns process including:

1. Repair/refurbishment service:

Sharp can repair or refurbish returned or faulty products either Faulty As New (FAN), under warranty or out of warranty products. Our service enables goods to be either returned to customers or sold on again maximising revenue generation.
Products are opened, tested, repaired (down to component level), aged, cleaned, graded according to condition and repacked. Replacement documents and accessories can also be added if required.

2. Software upgrades:

With the ever increasing rate of technology, products often require upgrades to ensure they are compatible with the latest products. Sharp can perform these software updates for many products including DVD, Blu-ray players and Games Systems.

3. Product recalls

Occasionally problems with new products are only revealed once in the market place. Sharp is ideally placed to handle all of your product recall issues and understands the importance of speed in order to protect your brands reputation.

4. Re-packaging

All too often perfectly good products have to be discounted as consumers reject products with damaged packaging afraid the goods inside may be broken. Sharp can provide a repacking and accessory replacement service to enable products to be sold at their full value.

5. New model testing and reverse engineering

We can undertake random batch testing of new products that arrive in the UK to check for build quality and can highlight weaknesses or take on any repair work required. We can advise on manufacture issues, highlight product weaknesses and provide advice on product improvement.

6. Swap it schemes

For high value products we can run swap it schemes for you. We will take delivery of the faulty product, send out a replacement product, repair the faulty product and return it to the customer or repair for additional swap out stock.

7. Product customisation for UK market

For UK distributors we can receive your imported products, customise them if required (e.g. add branding/ different fascia etc) add accessories, manuals and pack the product ready for sale onto the UK market.

8. Excess/end of line/discontinued stock handling

Products of this type can be graded, cleaned and re-packed, ready for alternative sales routes. BER (beyond economic repair) products can be stripped for spares and recycled or disposed of in compliance with the WEEE directive and current government legislation.
