The doors will open for Ecobuild 2011 on Tuesday 1st of March for a three day innovation feast! The Sharp stand will delight you with the latest technologies, new products and innovative solar solutions. Learn how to take advantage of the latest solar technologies and how to benefit from the generous Feed in Tariff. Understand why the solar industry is experiencing tremendous growth and make sure you’re not missing out on the solar rush!
It’s an exciting time to be involved in the solar industry and we would like to invite you to join our solar world on stand N2210.
With over 50 years of experience, solar technology pioneers Sharp are delighted to launch a new 245W PV module at Ecobuild. Sharp Corporation has developed a new single crystalline solar cell with high conversion efficiency. The new cells have a textured surface resulting in high electricity yields. The new 60 cell module has efficiencies of up to 14.9%. The new module benefits from a Back Surface Field (BSF) structure to optimise cell efficiency and a new anti-reflective coating on the glass to increase light absorption.
Another highlight of the event will be the unveiling of the new Sharp Solar LED Amenity Light. Using 100% renewable energy from the sun, Sharp’s two models do not require grid connection and are ideal where mains connection is not available, or if you wish to reduce electricity consumption or carbon emissions generated by your current lighting. Localised production of the LN-LX1 model has begun at Sharp in Wrexham and one of the first production units will proudly be on show on the Sharp stand.
Ecobuild is the ideal platform for Sharp to present their latest innovation to a wide audience. Sharp’s new Hamburg Roof Kit comes in two forms, either as an integrated in-roof or sleek on-roof complete solar system. The kit comes complete with one of Sharp’s most popular solar modules, the NU-180W, in or on-roof mounting structure, cables and inverter. All components of the system are of the highest quality and all are designed to match perfectly to ensure the highest output possible is achieved from the kit.
Visitors to the Sharp stand will be able to test their solar knowledge on our interactive touch screen quiz. In March 2010 Sharp opened the Solar Education Centre to the general public and since then we have had just under 2,000 visitors. Many schools have visited the centre as well as customers, suppliers, installers, planners, councillors, architects, etc. Everyone with an interest in solar and renewable technology is welcome to visit the Centre.
If you want to get involved in the world of solar, you may be interested to learn about the recently opened Sharp Renewable Energy Academy (SREA). With the introduction of the Feed in Tariff, the solar industry is experiencing a huge increase in demand for solar installations. Sharp is undergoing an expansion programme to double solar module production to 500MW per annum to keep up with demand, but there is a shortage of skilled and accredited solar installers. As a result, Sharp have invested in a new Renewable Energy Academy which offers a range of courses from one day Solar Awareness programmes to week long Solar PV Installation training courses, with City & Guilds certification available. At Ecobuild, Sharp are giving away a place at the Renewable Energy Academy to one lucky visitor who visits the Sharp Stand, so if you’re looking for a new career, expanding your business or simply want to learn more about solar, then pop along to stand N2210 and enter the competition.
Sharp invite you to join their exciting world of solar.
